Homeless LGBT youth panel Dec. 5
The Unitarian Church of Evanston, 1330 Ridge Ave., will host a panel discussion on LGBT youth homelessness on Friday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m.
The format includes 45 minutes of questions that Alex J. Segneri, executive director at Foundation for a United Front, will moderate. Then, there will be a 45-minute Q&A involving the audience.

World AIDS Day at the Center Dec. 6
On Dec. 6, Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted St., will acknowledge World AIDS Day 10 a.m.-2 p.m. by bringing together individuals to commemorate strides made in HIV/AIDS research, prevention and outreach work.
According to the Center's website, the Chicago Department of Public Health recently stated in a report that the number of new cases of HIV and AIDS diagnosed annually in the city has dropped by 46 percent and 43 percent over the past 10 years, respectively.
Michelle Anderson, Ms. Plus America 2011, will deliver the keynote speech at 11 a.m. Anderson became the first openly HIV-positive woman to be crowned a national beauty queen.
