Thousands of pop-culture aficionados ( many donning the costumes of their favorite characters ) visited Rosemont's Donald E. Stephens Convention Convention Center on Aug. 22-25 for Wizard World Comic Con.

There were many celebrities present—with one of the biggest being John Travolta, who his Wizard World debut at this event. Some of the other celebrity guests included Zachary Levi ( Shazam; Chuck ), Ben McKenzie ( Gotham; Batman: Year One ), Morena Baccarin ( Gotham; Deadpool; Firefly ), Jeff Goldblum ( Jurassic Park; Independence Day ), Henry Winkler ( Happy Days; Barry ), Matt Ryan ( Constantine; DC's Legends of Tomorrow ), Melissa Joan Hart ( Sabrina, The Teenage Witch ), Teddy Sears ( American Horror Story; Masters of Sex ), Torrie Wilson ( wrestling ), Dean Cain ( Lois & Clark; Supergirl ) and David Giuntoli ( Grimm ). There will also be dozens of illustrators and vendors present.

However, celebrities were far from the only attractions at this huge convention. Artists/illustrators, forums, merchandise and games were also part of the event, with standouts including sellers such as Harebrained and Wayward Geek, illustrator Jaime Coker and the inimitable Francois le Foutre ( otherwise known as The Gay PIrate ).
