Thousands of fans (some dressed as characters ranging from Batman to Thor to Carmen Sandiego) attended Wizard World Comic Con, which took place at Rosemont's Donald E. Stephens Convention Center Aug. 9-12.

The literally huge event offered attendees their choices of celebrities, such as Luke Perry, Dean Cain, Sean Young, Scott Bakula, Joey Lawrence, James Marsters and Stan Lee, among many others; a multitude of exhibitors and retailers; and artists/creators, including Michael Golden and Samantha Kyle. Photos here by Jerry Nunn. Additional gallery photos by Andrew Davis.
