Monica Raymund of the Chicago Fire TV show, Brooke Webster and Alma Izquierdo present Clandestina Chicago throws down on the South Side and North Side, Pride Edition.
They state: "It's two parties, each with no cover, that are committed, as always, to creating safe spaces for our queer community. Every step has been taken to ensure this at all of our events. There will be a mandatory bag check to ensure this safety as well as queer friendly security at both events."
Thursday, June 23, 8 p.m.-2 a.m., Clandestina Chicago's Punch House Takeover, 1227 W. 18th St., Pilsen, Chicago, featuring DJs Audio Jack, Sandra Suave, Monica Raymund and Bk Web. Love is Love Punch, a watermelon white wine sangria is the special with $3 from each sale going to Pulse Victims Fund. If you arrive at Punch House is full, don't miss Piano player songstress, Rosie Dempre, who takes to the keys at 9 p.m. right upstairs at Tack Room. She'll be taking requests and the first set theme will be Boy Bands, followed by a second set featuring a local drag performer singing songs from Grease and other Movie theme favorites.
Sunday, June 26, 2-10 p.m.: Clandestina is taking it to the streets. Follow them after they march with Monica Raymund, Grand Marshall of the Pride Parade. Head to the Pride North Block Party and Festival, where Clandestina Chicago has its own stage. It's an Outdoor celebration of community and love with DJs Sandra Suave, Cqqchifruit, Samone, All the Way Kay, & Bk Web, Glenwood Avenue between Morse and Lunt, Red line to Morse stop.
