The 6th Annual ChicagoTEN Alumni Challenge sweeps through River North's bars with the goal of raising $50,000 for Chicago Public Schools Aug. 29.
WHAT: The ChicagoTEN Alumni Club hosts the 2015 ChicagoTEN Alumni Challenge Bar Crawl benefitting Alumni for Public Schools ( APS ). The event brings together thousands of local Big Ten university alumni and fans to kickoff the college football season in style. Event-goers will have the chance to square off in rivalry contests, win prizes, and enjoy drink deals at a number of River North establishments.

WHY: The goal of the challenge is to raise over $50,000 for programs in the Chicago area public schools by donating 100% of the ticket sales to Alumni for Public Schools ( APS ). APS is a not-for-profit organization that promotes and supports volunteer partnerships between Chicago chapters of university alumni associations and individual Chicago public schools to provide learning resources in an effort to further students' education and intellectual growth.
