Whether Donald Trump is able to bring his promised disruption to Washington, D.C., or not, Chicago voters can at least rest assured the city did relatively little to help put him there.
Secretary Hillary Clinton, as of Nov. 9, had received about 864,552 votes, or 83.64 percent. Trump received 129,616 votes, or 12.53 percent.
Trump had his strongest showing in the 41st Ward, where he received 11,360 votes, or 42.89 percent.
In the 44th Ward, Clinton received 24,619, or 82.52 percent, of 29,835 votes. Trump received 3,475 votes, or 11.65 percent. Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson received 1,325, or 4.44 percent, while Green Party candidate Jill Stein received 416 votes, or 1.39 percent.
In the 46th Ward, Clinton received 22,102 votes, or 85.64 percent, out of 25,807 total cast. Trump received 2,565 votes, or 9.94 percent. Johnson received 680 votes, or 2.63 percent, while Stein received 460, or 1.9 percent.
U.S. Rep. Tammy Duckworth also finished strong in her bid for U.S. Sen. Mark Kirk's post. Duckworth received 804,536 votes, or 78.96 percent, while Kirk received just 167,497, or 16.44 percent.
In the 44th Ward, Duckworth received 21,207, or 71.25 percent, out of 29,763 votes cast. Kirk received 7,242, or 24.33 percent. Libertarian Party candidate Kenton McMillen received 756, or 2.54 percent, while Green Party candidate Scott Summers received 558 or 1.87 percent.
In the 46th Ward, Duckworth obtained 20,299 votes, or 79.6 percent, out of 25,501 total cast. Kirk received 3,971, or 15.57 percent, while McMillen had 599, or 2.35 percent. Summers finished with 632, or 2.48 percent.
