Chicago contest to award $7,500 in advertising to LGBT or AIDS non-profit
Winning person selected from Facebook also wins $500 cash
2011-11-19

FROM A NEWS RELEASE

CHICAGO — Windy City Media Group, publishers of Windy City Times, is running a Facebook contest through Dec. 20, 2011, to award $7,500 in free advertising to Chicago-area non-profit LGBT or AIDS organizations, and a lucky winner will win $500 in cash.

One winner will be selected at random from all followers of Windy City Media Group on Facebook, at www.facebook.com/windycitymediagroup. The winner gets $500 cash and they get to choose from registered Chicago-area non-profit LGBT or AIDS groups, who will then receive $5,000 in free advertising space in any WCMG product: Windy City Times, Nightspots, Windy City Queercast or windycitymediagroup.com .

A second-place winner will receive $250 cash and they get to select a group to receive $2,500 in advertising. The deadline to join the Windy City Media Group Facebook page, to be eligible to win, is Dec. 20, 2011.

Windy City Media Group has partnered with hundreds of Chicago-area LGBT and AIDS non-profits since it was founded in 1985. WCMG has sponsored events and benefits, and helped make community groups stronger through a wide range of services.

Facebook and Twitter (windycitytimes1) allow WCMG to further promote the extensive daily and weekly updates in content on the WCMG website. WCMG also has a second Facebook page, for Nightspots, its 21-year-old sister publication focused on the club and bar scene. See https://www.facebook.com/nightspots.
