Celebrated essayist David Lazar will be launching his third collection, I'll Be Your Mirror: Essays and Aphorisms( Nebraska, 2017 ) at Unabridged Bookstore, Inc, in Chicago, Thursday, Nov. 9, 7-8 p.m. Lazar considers death, sex, bowling, popular music, and the essay in this latest book.
David Lazar will be joined by Toni Nealie, author of The Miles Between Us ( Curbside Splendor Publishing, 2016 ), and Ryan Spooner, author of Regret( The Lettered Streets Press, 2014 ). The essayists write and work in Chicago. The event is free and open to the public. Wine and light refreshments will be served.
Combined with Heather Frise's illustrations of motherhood, I'll Be Your Mirror expands the dimensions of contemporary nonfiction.
