This Saturday, April 13, 2013, the Chicago Leather Club will host a forum titled "Beyond 50 Shades of Grey: Leather Workshop for Ages 50+" to educate older adults ages 50 and older on the BDSM/Kink/Leather community. The program will begin at 12:30 pm on Saturday at Center on Halsted. A health educator will be available during the forum to answer safety and protection related questions.

"Everybody has sex. Everybody likes to learn new things…" says Courtney Bilbrey, Manager of Senior Services at Center on Halsted, "Unfortunately, there's not enough info out there about sexual health and wellness for older adults, especially LGBTQ ones. That's why we're thrilled to be offering Beyond 50 Shades of Grey; a workshop facilitated by Chicago Leather Club on the BDSM/Kink/Leather community for ages 50+. This is an opportunity for older adults to learn new things in a safe, fun environment." If you are interested in attending Saturday's event, "Beyond 50 Shades of Grey" please RSVP by contacting Courtney Bilbrey at cbilbrey@centeronhalsted.org or call 773-472-6469 ext. 468.

The Chicago Leather Club is a donor to the Senior Program and a good friend of Center on Halsted. Last month, the Chicago Leather Club hosted its first bar night at Touché where they sold over $650 in raffle tickets and donated half the proceeds to Center on Halsted.

Center on Halsted is the most comprehensive community center in the Midwest dedicated to advancing community and securing the health and well-being of the LGBTQ community in Chicago. The Center envisions a thriving LGBTQ community, living powerfully in supportive inclusive environments. For more information, visit www.centeronhalsted.org or call 773-472-6469.
