For many years bears and their fans from across the country and even around the world have gathered in Chicago over the Memorial Day weekend for fellowship, fun and yes, sex, too! This year will be no exception.

A group of local businesses, Touché — home of the Great Lakes Bears, The Call, Hamburger Mary's, Mary's Attic and The Andersonville Brewing Company, have join forces to present CChicago BearFeat. Hopefully this will become a new tradition for bears over the Memorial Day weekend. Chicago BearFeat plans to be unique in its approach in that the weekend of events will be presented fee free.

Free registration for Chicago BearFeat and you will receive a wristband that will entitle you to special offers and discounts at the organizing venues and many more over the holiday weekend. You may register online through the Chicago BearFest FaceBook page or at any event all weekend. Even if you are unable to join the party till Sunday, you can still get in on the fun and deals through Monday.

Nightly parties are planned beginning Thursday, May 25th through Sunday, May 29th, wrapping up on Memorial Day with a Farewell Brunch and afternoon cookout. Dances, cocktail parties and the premiere of the Mr Chicago Bear and Chicago Cub Contest are just a part of the weekend's events. Admission to all events part of Chicago BearFest weekend offer free admission. You just pay for the food and drink you want.

Several national bear gatherings are hosted at a central city hotel that may not be located conveniently to the host city's gay nightlife and community. Chicago is well known for the gay bars, restaurants, shops and more that stretch the city's northside all the way to Evanston. CHICAGO BEARFEST is bringing the party to the Andersonville and Rogers Park neighborhoods, both home to large concentrations of LGBT's and lots and lots of bears.

In lieu of booking a hotel in Chicago's loop, we encourage our visiting bears and friends to check out the hotels in Andersonville and Rogers Park. There are hundreds of Air B&B's as well, many offered by LGBT's, all near Chicago's nightlife on the northside. You can enjoy savings on downtown hotel rates, and transportation up to Chicago's LGBT neighborhoods. Plus, you don't have to shell out big bucks to be a part of the party as registering for Chicago BearFest is free.

Follow Chicago BearFest or Twitter as more details are announced and for any last minute additions to our exciting line up of events. Bears will continue to take over Chicago Memorial Day weekend, join us for Chicago BearFeat!
