Chelsea Manning jailed again

Transgender ex-Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning has once again found herself in jail—this time for refusing to testify about her disclosure of military and diplomatic secrets to WikiLeaks in 2010, CNN.com reported.

Manning—who served approximately seven years in prison for the massive leak before President Obama commuted her sentence—objected to the questioning in a grand-jury appearance March 6 in Virginia. "Imprisoning me for my refusal to answer questions only subjects me to additional punishment for my repeatedly-stated ethical objections to the grand jury system," Manning said in a statement posted on her Twitter account March 8.

Manning could be jailed for the term of the grand jury, but not longer than 18 months.
