On March 12 Vital Bridges Center on Chronic Care, a program of Heartland Health Outreach, held its "Chefs and the City" kickoff party on the second floor at the Hubbard Inn. For two hours guests celebrated with cocktails and appetizers while raising money for more than 1,500 men, women, and children that Vital Bridges serves each year.
Join the cause on April 23 at the Union League Club of Chicago, where Chefs and the City participants will begin with appetizers from Chair TETE Charcuterie and cocktails created by Sepia's mixologist. Afterward, donors will be treated to a four-course dinner, with a different chef preparing each course. This year's restaurants include RL, bellyQ, Tanta and Green Zebra, plus many more.

As for the changes in date and venue, Associate Director of Development at Heartland Health Outreach Michelle Patterson said, "We decided to do something different this year because there are so many tasting events. We'd been using the same model for many years, so we wanted to offer our consistent guests something new.
"We also wanted to try a different time of the year to see if a weekday event in the spring would work better than in the summer. Our guests are very sophisticated and want to attend the highest quality events, so we're presenting them with that opportunity.
Tickets to the event are $250 and can be purchased by contacting Michelle Patterson at 773-271-9161. Visit www.heartlandalliance.org/vital/ .
