Thirteen years after Chicago resident Kevin Clewer was murdered, his family still searches for answers to help police find his killer. Case Files Chicago and Area North Detectives have teamed to bring a renewed interest in this case. The crime and call for action will be featured in the television series Case Files Chicago, scheduled to air Saturday, Nov. 11, at 11 p.m. CT on The CW 50 in the greater Chicago area. Between the evenings of March 23-24, 2004, Clewer was fatally stabbed in his apartment in the 3400 block of North Elaine Place. He was 31 years old.

Clewer was seen with a person of interest in the late night/early morning hours in the 3300 and 3500 blocks of North Halsted Street. At the time of the crime (2004), the subject was described as male, Hispanic, 25 years old, 5'7" tall, with a slim/athletic build, and who spoke with a Hispanic or European Spanish accent.

The subject may be known as Fernando. Those with any information should contact the Bureau of Detectives-Area North at 312- 744-8261, and ask for Detective Campbell. Refer to Case #HK259-944. Also, see CaseFilesChicago. com.
