Cancun hosts LGBT marketing event
From a news release
2012-02-21

Cancun, Mexico— The International Expo & Business LBGT said a Latin American marketing event targeting the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) market will take place Sept. 6 - 9, 2012 in Cancun, Mexico.

Ruben Sandoval, president of the International Expo & Business LGBT, said he was delighted to bring this marketing event to the city of Cancun.

Sandoval also announced a Business-to-Consumer expo event that will take place on the last day of the trade show. "All our participants are focused on getting the best blend of LGBT market education and business development in place, so it is a logical extension of that concept to open our event to the public on our final day. We expect large numbers of the Cancun LGBT community will join us at the Expo in September."

"The Cancun Convention and Visitors Bureau (Cancun CVB) is our official partner, the Hyatt Regency is our host hotel and ... Out Now Global is our Premier Sponsor," Sandoval said.

Mr. Jorge Tellez, Promotion Director at Cancun CVB, said his organization was delighted to be selected as the host city for this year's International Business and Expo LGBT. "Cancun is Mexico's most popular tourism destination with the LGBT market, and we make every effort to improve and enhance our products and services to this very important market," Tellez said. "We will be working with all delegates, exhibitors, sponsors and LGBT visitors to ensure this is a valuable and worthwhile experience to all event attendees."

About Cancun

Cancun is located in the northern part of the southeastern Mexican state of Quintana Roo. It is Mexico's number one tourist destination and is known all over the world for its spectacular beaches, unique beauty and breathtaking turquoise waters.

Cancun's shoreline recently underwent a $71 Million Dollar makeover, that featured 1.3 billion gallons of sand to renovating the Hotel Zone's seashore. The most popular tourism destination in Mexico and Latin America has also added to its sun, beach, and nightlife, by creating a unique five-day route that will offer visitors a chance to experience adventure and interaction with nature. Cancun and the Treasures of the Caribbean invite travelers to discover the vast natural, cultural and gastronomical cultures of Puerto Morelos, and the four islands of the Mexican Caribbean: Holbox, Isla Mujeres, Contoy and Cozumel. Cancun is a multifaceted destination that combines nature, historical Mayan Culture, glamour, luxury and world class tourism with the seduction for adventure, the passion for paradisiacal nature and the enchantment of gastronomical magic.
