The LGBTQ arts showcase Cake Chicago will mark its seventh anniversary Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Red Line Tap, 7006 N. Glenwood Ave., at 9 p.m.
With Ripley Caine hosting, acts will include Tamale Sepp, Eli & The No Good and Rm:509. Sepp is a burlesque artist who is also producing the comedy showcase Brass Chuckles. Eli & The No Good consists of Elias, a singer, writer, academic, activist and performer who travels internationally. Caine has joined with Yvonne Doll and Christy Nunes from The Locals and Los Angeles drummer Joanna Vassilatos to form, Rm:509, a PJ Harvey cover band.
