CRUZ PLAY AT VICTORY GARDENS

Chicago's Victory Gardens Theater announces its 2003/2004 season-opener, Anna in the Tropics by Cuban-American playwright Nilo Cruz, has been awarded the 2003 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Cruz's play was a surprise winner of the 2003 Pulitzer. The American Theatre Critics' Association named Anna in the Tropics winner of the 2003 American Theatre Critics Association/Steinberg New Play Award.
