(New York, NY) — December 19, 2011 — 14-year-old Benni Cinkle has come a long way since her appearance in Rebecca Black's notorious "Friday" music video. After successfully starting her non-profit foundation appropriately called That Girl in Pink, Cinkle has continued to connect with struggling young people through her blog on The Huffington Post, Livestream channel and impressive community outreach. She is now taking her crusade for tolerance to a new level with the announcement of a national school tour where she will speak with kids across the country about her experience being on the receiving end of a cruel cyber-bullying campaign and offer advice on how everyone can make it through a similar situation.
Dates that have been confirmed so far are listed below with more to be announced in early 2012:
1/12-Canyon High School (Anaheim Hills, CA)
1/13-Project Hope School (Orange, CA)
1/23-Falls High School (International Falls, MN)
2/17-Friends Central High School (Wynnewood, PA)
In addition to the upcoming school tours, That Girl in Pink Foundation has also been making a difference in their home city of Los Angeles California. Benni recently prepared holiday stockings for the youth at two noteworthy organizations: Olive Crest — an organization supporting at-risk children, and Project Hope — fostering homeless young people. It is her hope that by setting an example, she can encourage other people her age to get involved in any way they can within their communities.
