On June 22 Sào Paulo, Brazil's Pride Parade, had more than 800,000 people in the streets. São Paulo is the biggest and richest city in Brazil.
On June 29, Rio de Janeiro hosted their parade, which happens at the famous Copacabana beach. A very charming parade—on a sunny day, beautiful people come from the beach, wearing bathing suits and dancing to Brazilian music.
People are full of joy at both events, but conscious of their political importance, because every Brazilian gay person knows very well how destructive society's prejudice against homosexuals can be.
