LGBTQ-rights activist and Sidetrack co-owner Art Johnston is one of four individuals and one company who will be honored at Chicago History Museum's 22nd Annual Making History Awards on Wed., June 8, at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, 120 E. Delaware Pl.
The reception will be at 6 p.m., with the dinner and awards presentations at 7 p.m.
Johnston will receive the Jane Addams Making History Award for Distinction in Social Service. Other recipients include JPMorgan Chase ( The Cyrus McCormick Making History Award for Historic Corporate Achievement ), Frank M. Clark ( The Marshall Field Making History Award for Distinction in Corporate Leadership & Innovation ), Michael H. Moskow ( The Harold Washington Making History Award for Distinction in Public Service ) and Shirley W. Ryan ( The Bertha Honoré Palmer Making History Award for Distinction in Civic Leadership ).
