Antigone Rising, the all female country/rock band, known for their catchy melodies and energetic shows, will be performing at Martyrs', 3855 N. Lincoln Ave, on Wednesday, Nov. 9 to celebrate the life of Christina Santiago, who tragically lost her life when the stage collapsed at the Indiana State Fair. Christina was a huge fan of Antigone Rising and the band wanted to honor that. The evening will also include a local favorite of Christina's, Daphne Willis, as well as appearances by representatives of the charities about which Christina was most passionate.
According to Antigone Rising founding member and bass player, Kristen Henderson, "we wanted to make this a special night, a night that Christina would have loved to attend." The organizations involved are: Howard Brown, Bright Pink and Affinity Community Services.
Sponsored by Affinity Community Services, Wednesday, Nov. 9, 7:30pm at Marytrs, 3855 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago, IL. Tickets: $12. Further info from armgmt@comcast.net
