LifeLube and Project CRYSP will host the community forum of the year "Not Just Faggot! End Homophobia Now" Wed., Dec. 8, at Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the event starts at 7 p.m.
Among those scheduled to talk are Equality Illinois' Rick Garcia, Vernita Gray of the Cook County State's Attorney's Office and Chicago Black Gay Men's Caucus' Keith Green. Simone Koehlinger will moderate.

LGBTQ youth symposium Nov. 30
The Illinois Psychological Association ( IPA ) and IPA's Sexual Orientation Section are hosting "LGBTQ Youth Symposium: Addressing the Challenges of Bullying, Suicide & Homophobia" at Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted, on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Participants will discuss opportunities for addressing systemic issues related to anti-LGBTQ bullying, suicide and homophobia. In addition, attendees will learn better interventions for dealing with those being bullied and be informed of new programs being planned for outreach.
