Alderman Raymond Lopez said July 30 that his 15th Ward office in the Brighton Park neighborhood has been vandalized again, ABC7Chicago.com reported.
He quoted Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot in a tweet that stated, "'We'll make sure that they've got the resources they need to be secure. We're not going to tolerate anyone attacking elected officials, and engaging in criminal conduct against them, period'-Lightfoot."
Lopez then added, "You failed. The third attack in a month! Lawlessness continues in Chicago."
This is the second assault on the openly gay politician's office in less than two weeks, and the third act of vandalism targeting the alderman in a month after bricks were thrown through the windows of his home.
