Monday, March 31 is the deadline to enroll in a plan on the Illinois health marketplace and it's crucial that people living with HIV/AIDS have all the information they need to choose a plan that works for them.
The AIDS Foundation of Chicago ( AFC ) has combed through the available Illinois marketplace plans and put together a guide on the cost of HIV medications for each plan. The guide gives examples of what a person with HIV might have to pay for HIV medications on a particular plan.
If you qualify for the AIDS Drug Assistance Program ( ADAP ), and choose a plan that is compatible with ADAP, ADAP will cover premiums and any out-of-pocket costs for HIV medications.
Finding a plan that's right for you and compatible with ADAP can be complicated, but our trained navigators can help! Contact AFC's health insurance navigators at 312-784-9060 ext. 350 for assistance.
Remember: the deadline to enroll in a plan is Monday, March 31. Don't wait. Call today!
