An anonymous source is offering $100,000 for the safe return of a 1715 Stradivarius violin stolen from the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra's concertmaster, according to the Associated Press.

The rare violin was on loan to Frank Almond when a robber used a stun gun on him and took the instrument Jan. 27.

The reward is offered to anyone who can provide information which results in the violin's safe return.

UPDATE: On Friday, Feb. 7, it was announced that the instrument had been located.
