CHICAGO, IL, Mar. 23, 2015The Illinois Safe Schools Alliance will be hosting the 14th Night of Noise at 5:30 pm on April 17 at the Thompson Center, 100 W. Randolph Street. Hundreds of Gay/Straight Alliance ( GSA ) students from schools across Chicago will gather to conclude the Day of Silence, which protests the bullying of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, and allied ( LGBTQA ) youth.
The Alliance Youth Committee will invite GSA members to talk about their Day of Silence experiences. U.S. Rep. Mike Quigley ( D-Ill ) will speak about issues impacting LGBTQA youth. Mister E. Machine, a Chicago-based indie rock group with a rainbow twist, will be launching their music video for "Rosa Marie," a song about anti-bullying.
