Pictured Popular openly gay British superstar Will Young will compete against Kelly Clarkson and other international POP IDOL winners on WORLD IDOL.


FOX, Christmas night, 8 p.m Finale, Jan. 1. U.S. viewers will get a rare chance to see popular gay British superstar Will Young as he competes against the U.S.'s Kelly Clarkson and POP IDOL winners from other countries In a two-part global TV event Christmas night and Jan. 1. IDOLS winners from around the globe will battle it out for the WORLD IDOL title as an international panel of judges, including Simon Cowell, give feedback on their performances. On Jan. 1, the WORLD IDOL will be crowned, and Elton John will make a guest appearance.

Other contestants include: Norway's Kurt Nilsen, a former plumber; Diana Karzon, of the Pan Arabic region of 11 countries; Belgian Peter Evrard, 28, doing Nirvana's 'Lithium,' and the newest IDOL winner—Guy Sebastian, 22, from Australia.

ALL MY CHILDREN (ABC, noon) Daily. Last week, alhough Maggie cautioned pregnant Bianca that she's already starting to show, Bianca insisted she can't leave town now just as her sister Kendall is facing a murder charge. When Maggie explained that she feels like a third wheel around Lena, Bianca reminded her that she's not yet ready to commit again to a relationship with former flame Lena.
