About The Night Ministry

The Night Ministry compassionately provides housing, health care, outreach and social services to adults and youth who struggle with homelessness, poverty and loneliness. We accept individuals as they are and offer support as they seek to improve their lives. We invite others to join this hope-filled work.

Now in our 35th year, The Night Ministry supports six main programs throughout the city of Chicago: our Health Outreach Program, Youth Street Outreach Program, and four Youth Housing Programs. The programs serve homeless, precariously housed, and vulnerable adults, youth, and families in Chicago. The overarching goal of The Night Ministry is to build relationships, with the ultimate goal of improving individuals' health, safety, stability, and housing status. Last year, The Night Ministry administered over 700 free, rapid HIV tests, in addition to providing referral services and HIV prevention counseling.
