Zach Braff, the star of the TV show Scrubs, has come out—as straight, according to Advocate.com . A statement that had Braff coming out of the closet was apparently the result of his old website being hacked. On his Facebook page, Braff later posted, "I'm still straight and in love with my girlfriend. But not too straight; I still love musicals, brunch and Doogie Howser." Braff played gay in the 2000 film The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy with Dean Cain, Justin Theroux and Timothy Olyphant.

Also, during the interview, Harris said that she does not feel that former friend Kim Kardashian has overshadowed her.

The "Evergreen" singer will release a 10-track record entitled What Matters Most: Barbra Streisand Sings The Lyrics of Alan and Marilyn Bergman Aug. 22. The nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards have been announced—and Katy Perry leads with nine, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Adele and Kanye West each received seven nods. Perry—who has had several number-one singles from her album, Teenage Dream—is up for Video of the Year for "Firework"; she'll compete against Adele's "Rolling in the Deep," Bruno Mars' "Grenade," Beastie Boys' "Make Some Noise" and Tyler, The Creator's "Yonkers." The awards will air Aug. 28.

The former bodyguard of Britney Spears is suing the singer for harassment, Digital Spy reported. Fernando Flores, who worked for her part of last year, has alleged that Spears continuously made "unwanted advances" towards him. Singer Amy Winehouse, 27, was found dead at her London home July 23, according to the BBC News. Winehouse had a long battle with drugs and alcohol that overshadowed her recent musical career. She pulled out of a comeback tour last month after she was jeered at the first gig in Serbia for appearing too drunk to perform. Her 2003 album, Frank, brought her acclaim. However, it was 2006's Back to Black (including the songs "Rehab" and "Tears Dry on Their Own") that brought her global stardom, winning five Grammy Awards.

Several musicians immediately responded to Winehouse's death, according to RollingStone.com . Kelly Clarkson blogged, "She was a beautiful and talented girl. I'm angry. What a waste of a gifted person." Natasha Bedingfield tweeted, "My heart and prayers go out to her family" and Janelle Monaé wrote "heart is heavy. Warner Bros confirmed it had pushed the release date for Zack Snyder's comic-book reboot from December 2012 to June 2013 to avoid a potential clash with Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Cavill, who had co-starred on the TV show The Tudors, will star in the superhero movie alongside Kevin Costner, Diane Lane and Amy Adams.

Speaking of superheroes, Andrew Garfield—star of the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man—gave what observers called a heartfelt speech at the recent San Diego Comic-Con, Digital Spy reported.
