D/E Entertainment and Tabernacle Chicago present Part Two of a three-part ten year anniversary celebration, X - A Decade of
Excellence, on Friday, July 4. Their annual celebration of Pride ad Independence features Grammy Award winning DJ, producer and
remixer Frankie Knuckles with VO5-DJ Elbert Phillips and, performing for the first time in Chicago, acclaimed singer Michelle Weeks.
As one of the most renowned and respected DJs in the world, Frankie has been packing dance floors with his unique style for
almost thirty years. He has played a pivotal role in the creation and evolution of 'house' music, which has become the dominant
staple of dance clubs throughout the world. He has produced and remixed songs for such artists as Diana Ross, Luther Vandross,
Michael Bolton, Mary J. Blige, Janet and Michael Jackson. He became the first recipient of a Grammy for the 'Remixer of the Year' in
1997.
Currently, Frankie is completing post-production on his upcoming album and as always he is touring from country to country
doing what he loves best...playing music.
Michelle Weeks has been performing professionally since the age of four. She has appeared in a number of stage productions as
well as appearing on Broadway in 'The Tap Dance Kid' and in the cult classic film 'Little Shop of Horrors.' Her music is filled with
inspiration and seeks to lift people's spirits.
The celebration is being hosted at the House of Blues, 329 N. Dearborn St. Doors open at 10pm.
