Madeleine Albright will be the special guest at Chicago House's 2nd annual Speaker Series Luncheon, scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 9, at the Palmer House Hilton at 12-2 p.m.
"We are so excited to have former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright as our 25th anniversary guest for our annual Speaker Series," said Stan Sloan, the CEO of Chicago House who is celebrating his 10th year with the organization.
"Albright continues to be a prophetic voice in discussing the role of America in the world and the implications of that role on our citizens and domestic policy. HIV/AIDS and homelessness are the major issues addressed by Chicago House, and to have Madeleine Albright with us to help explore the economic implications of our country's policies both domestically and abroad will be perfect in these difficult economic times."
Albright follows former President Bill Clinton, who was the first Speaker Series Luncheon guest, and she was selected over several other famous people considered by Chicago House officials, although they would not reveal finalists.
Ticket sales will open at the premium, preferred and VIP meet-and-greet levels in September. Corporate tables and sponsorship opportunities are now available by calling Jeremy Hilborn, manager of special events & fundraising, at 773-248-5200, ext. 304.
