Singer George Michael is in trouble with the law again after being arrested for crashing his Range Rover into a London, England, store July 4, Popeater.com reported. Michael, 47, was not subjected to a breathalyzer test at the scene but was taken to a local police station. He was released on bail until next month. In 2007, he pled guilty to driving while under the influence of drugs. Advocate.com reported that Michael has apologized for "screwing up again" and promised "I'll sort myself out."

The waitress punched Lohan at the nightspot Voyeur after spotting the actress with the employee's ex, rugby player Danny Cipriani. Beverly Hills Judge Marsha Revel ruled July 6 that Lohan violated her probation by failing to attend alcohol-education classes in a drunk-driving case, according to the L.A. Times, and sentenced the actress to 90 days in jail, along with 90 more days of rehab. In addition, Revel criticized program operator Cheryl Marshall for not reporting Lohan's absences to the court before the actress had her bail revoked when the alarm on her SCRAM alcohol-monitoring device went off June 6. Lohan broke down as the sentence was delivered. She begins her stint in jail July 20.
The resurrected Lilith Fair tour has canceled 10 shows between July 12 and Aug. 16, according to Advocate.com . The shows are in Salt Lake City, Montreal, Raleigh, Charlotte, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Birmingham, Austin, Houston and Dallas. Lilith co-founder Terry McBride said, "We are in the midst of one of the most challenging summer concert seasons with many tours being cancelled outright. ... Lilith remains the only tour of its kind, and we are confident that fans will be amazed by what each date has to offer." Lilith, the only touring festival with an all-female line-up, opened in Calgary June 27 with more than 9,000 people attending.
True Blood actor Nelsan Ellis, who plays the gay cook Lafayette, told Vibe magazine that he supports same-sex marriage, according to Advocate.com . Ellis, who is heterosexual, said that when people mistake him for Lafayette, he takes it as a compliment to his acting. Regarding marriage equality, he said, "I support it. I think anybody should I mean, I have my religious views but I don't choose to oppress them on anybody. The Today Show modified its "Modern Day Wedding" contest so that same-sex couples could enter, according to a Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation ( GLAAD ) press release. The change occurred a week after GLAAD learned that the competition was excluding gay and lesbian couples; the ban spurred the organization to issue a call to action, and thousands of people contacted NBC. In response to former domestic partner Melissa Etheridge filing for a dissolution of their partnership, Tammy Lynn Michaels has sued for full custody of their twins, according to Advocate.com . In filing last week, Etheridge sought joint legal and physical custody, and asked the court to deny Michaels any financial support. However, Michaels is seeking spousal support, saying that she put her acting career on hold for the sake of the family. Michaels is probably best known for her role as the evil cheerleader on the TV show Popular.

The Centers for Disease Control ( CDC ) has publicly disproven this myth. And since June 22, thousands of people have written to ABC, asking that The View Provide correct information to viewers. Unfortunately, those requests have been greeted with silence from both ABC and The View."
The Village People is upset that YMCA is changing its name to "The Y," according to Starpulse.com . Among the group's hits are "Y.M.C.A.," "In the Navy" and "Macho Man." In a statement, the group said, "We are deeply dismayed by today's announcement from the YMCA that they feel a name change and a rebranding are in order after 166 years. According to an Advocate.com item, Entertainment Weekly has reported that a guy is set to come out of the closet next season on the TV show 90210, an update of the '90s program Beverly Hills, 90210. Either Teddy ( played by Trevor Donovan ) , Liam ( Matt Lanter ) or Navid ( Michael Steger ) will acknowledge his love of men. Steger has played a gay hustler on the HBO series True Blood.
