2009-11-20
NewNowNext PopLab's First Host Returns in Anticipation of the Release of Her Album "The Fame Monster"; "RuPaul's Drag Race" ( season one ) winner, Bebe Zahara Benet, will have the world premiere of her new video, "I'm the S**t."

Singer-songwriter Lady GaGa has become a pop culture sensation over the past year and has returned back to Logo where she first emerged as a pop culture trendsetter. Lady Gaga had her first television appearance on Logo's 2008 NewNowNext Awards where she performed her addictive debut single "Just Dance" and was nominated for the ArjanWrites.com: Brink of Fame: Song award. Her distinct look, sound and persona hinted at her emerging superstar status, and thus a perfect fit for the NewNowNext brand. With hits including "Just Dance," "Poker Face," "LoveGame" and "Paparazzi", Lady Gaga returns with a brand new video titled "Bad Romance" off her new album titled "The Fame Monster." "The Fame Monster" will hit stores Nov. 23.

In addition to the much anticipated return of Lady Gaga, "RuPaul's Drag Race" season one winner, Bebe Zahara Benet, will premiere her new music video, "I'm the S**t." Bebe Zahara Benet became an overnight sensation after she was crowned the title of "America's next drag superstar" from Logo's hit competition reality series, "RuPaul's Drag Race." Fans of the series can visit RuPaulsDragRace.com to watch the first full season of "RuPaul's Drag Race" and also get a sneak peek of the new batch of contestants for season two starting Friday, Nov. 20.

NewNowNext PopLab is an extension of Logo's successful NewNowNext brand, which boasts two separate music series: NewNowNext Music and NewNowNext PopLab. What NewNowNext Music is for alternative, under-the-radar music, NewNowNext PopLab is its pop-glossy counterpart. The show infuses hits from established icons such as Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Rihanna and Jennifer Hudson with emerging pop sensations of tomorrow including Hercules & Love Affair and The Ting Tings. The series also boasts pop music superstars as hosts including Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Nelly Furtado, Nicole Scherzinger of "The Pussycast Dolls", Ciara and Keri Hilson.

With NewNowNext Music and NewNowNext PopLab, Logo solidifies its position as the only place for LGBT music lovers to stay up to date on rising LGBT talent and music geared toward the LGBT community. Between weekly airings of the show viewers can go to NewNowNext.com, the gay guide to pop culture, to get the latest on music, fashion, television and celebrity gossip. Viewers can also go to LOGOonline.com to watch NewNowNext PopLab music videos and exclusive interviews, listen to pre-release albums, and discover new LGBT artists.
