Openly gay Chicago designer Nate Berkus may get his own syndicated TV program, according to the Chicago Tribune.
A report from Broadcasting & Cable Editor-in-Chief Ben Grossman stated that Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Productions and Sony Pictures Television are finalizing plans to launch a syndicated weekday program hosted by Berkus next fall.
Harpo and Sony are already behind Dr. Oz, the show from fellow Winfrey protege Dr. Mehmet Oz that runs locally on Fox-owned WFLD-Ch. 32.
The Oprah Winfrey Show has featured Berkus as a design expert for eight years.
