Windy City Times Print Edition Also Available Online

Consumers now able to click directly through to print advertisers' Web sites

Windy City Media Group, the producers of Chicago's Windy City Times and Nightspots publications, announced two big 'extras' to their readership this month.

The publications, whose readership mostly consists of the gay and lesbian community, are now available completely online each week to download for free. Readers can download the paper in its complete form as a PDF file. The unique aspect of this feature gives the readers the ability to not only read the articles but to see the advertisements from supportive businesses in the paper.

The second feature that is a benefit to both the readers and to the advertisers is that the PDF download of the paper is linkable to advertiser Web sites.

The print editions of Windy City Times and Nightspots will continue to be delivered to more than 500 outlets in the Chicago area every Wednesday. This online effort enhances the circulation of each product. The www.WindyCityMediaGroup.com Web site has more than 20,000 archived articles going back 10 years.

'This feature is a huge perk to our advertisers because as consumers read the ads they are able to click directly to the advertiser's sites to buy tickets, read further information about events or products or to find out more about their organization,' said Marketing Director Kathleen Ulm.

These features are good for advertisers looking for the maximum exposure for each ad placed and more importantly this is a valuable service to the GLBT community. Making the paper available online in its entirety will allow more people locally and nationally to read the publications.
