For at least the third year, controversial personality Dr. Laura Schlessinger has been nominated for induction to the National Radio Hall of Fame ( NRHOF ) , housed at Chicago's Museum of Broadcast Communications ( MBC ) .
Schlessinger is nominated in the National-Active category. Other nominees in that category include Howard Stern and Bob Costas.
Another controversial nominee is 'Focus on the Family,' founded by Dr. James Dobson in the mid-1970s. The Focus on the Family organization has boycotted companies that it feels supports gay rights, including Proctor & Gamble.
