The Federation of Gay Games has published its request for proposal ( RFP ) , which details the requirements for potential organizers and host cities of Gay Games IX, according to a press release. The ninth edition of the Games will be held in 2014 and will include more than 30 sports and cultural events—as well as over 12,000 participants and tens of thousands of family, friends, fans and spectators.
Organizations interested in getting a copy of the RFP or in obtaining more information about the bidding process should e-mail FGGBids@gaygames.org . Under a new policy, organizations will also be able to propose new sports before submitting their bids.
The host organization for the 2014 Gay Games IX will be selected at the Federation's annual meeting in 2009, to be held in Cologne, the host city for Gay Games VIII in 2010.
