Socially Distant Shopping & Take Out Experience
10:00am - 2:00pm

www.regalisfoods.com FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 11, 2020 BRASSERIE BY COOKIES & CARNITAS PRESENTS A SOCIALLY DISTANT SHOPPING & TAKE OUT EXPERIENCE CHICAGO, IL, Brasserie by Cookies & Carnitas presents the inaugural Socially Distant Shopping & Take Out Experience on Sunday, May 24th from 10am to 2pm at 5940 N. Broadway. The pop up creates a safe shopping space for those looking for essential goods including local products, specialty foods and prepared dishes from the best Chicago chefs and restaurants. Safety measures include limiting the number of shoppers registered each hour, managing head counts, requiring face coverings, Venmo only transactions and careful marking of queues for entry and spaces around vendors. Organized by Brad Newman of Cookies & Carnitas, an 11 year veteran of the Green City Market and his former business partner, Karrie Kimble, the concept came to fruition when the pair, from 800 miles away (Kimble lives in Brooklyn, NY), shared a common concern for assisting local, sustainable farms and restaurants that were struggling due to COVID19. During the Illinois Stay at Home order, Newman donated his time at Avrom Farms in Ripon, WI who will supply meat & produce. Kimble, a partner in Regalis Chicago which sold to 100+ independent restaurants before the state shutdown in March, recognized the need for their customers to find alternate revenue sources. It was a perfect fit to invite Chef Ryan Poli who has been peddling fresh pasta and "Parms" in the pandemic. Regalis Chicago's Operating Partner, Benjamin Rogers will sell his artisan cheeses, olive oils and wild, foraged mushrooms. Newman began construction on Brasserie by Cookies & Carnitas in early 2020. He is excited for shoppers to preview the space pre-face lift, then see the transformation when they open in August. His team is ready to churn out their infamous pizzas, classic cookies and dough to go. Regalis Chicago was founded in 2017 and is managed by Operating Partner, Benjamin Rogers. Regalis is one of the nation's premier importers of fresh truffles, caviar, and wild, foraged mushrooms with outposts in NY, Texas and Chicago. Regalis Chicago sells its cheeses, meats, olive oils and luxury items to restaurants and the public at 314 N. Leavitt, nationally at regalisfoods.com and at a Socially Distant Shopping & Take Out Experience. Information about a Socially Distant Shopping & Take Out Experience: Karrie Kimble at (773) 575-4836 or karrie@regalisfoods.com.
