Equality Illinois Gala 6:00pm
The Equality Illinois Annual Gala brings together 1,500 people each year to celebrate the power and energy of the LGBTQ community. A festive occasion, for the past few years the Gala has been a sold-out affair with local media live broadcasting from the venue. With over a hundred public officials, dozens of business leaders, and hundreds of LGBTQ champions, the Equality Illinois Annual Gala has been called a "Who's Who of Illinois politics" by ABC News.
This year, we are proud to be honoring Tracy Baim, Publisher of the Chicago Reader, for her over 35-year career in Chicago journalism and the Rainbow Cafe LGBT Youth Center in Carbondale, IL for their work on behalf of LGBTQ youth in southern Illinois.
