SocialWorks, A Night at the Museum with Chance the Rapper
6:00pm - 10:00pm

SocialWorks, founded by Grammy-award-winning musician and humanitarian Chance the Rapper, is hosting their 3rd Annual: A Night at the Museum event on Thursday, December 19 from 6pm-10pm at The Museum of Science and Industry. This kid-friendly evening will feature 50 plus event-only activations, activities, performances, interactive spaces, giveaways and more. Once again, guests are encouraged to bring donations as the event serves as a donation hub for the foundation's Warmest Winter Initiative, which aims to raise awareness and provide relief for individuals experiencing homelessness and extreme hardship through service, events, donations, and direct support. We would love your help in spreading the word so we can exceed last year's donations amount- more than 18,000 warming items! Tickets are $10 / 4-Pack: $30. Chance will be in attendance and will be speaking at the SocialWorks' Summit, which will be held inside the IMAG Theatre within the museum (exact timing TBA). The summit is the foundation's annual report to the world coming from Chance himself. Please, find last year's summit: here. Attendees enjoy access to all of the museum's exhibits after hours as well as 50 plus event-only activations that can't be experienced anywhere else. The night will include special activities, performances, interactive spaces, giveaways, and surprises around every corner. Once again, guests are encouraged to bring donations as the event serves as a donation hub for the foundation's Warmest Winter Initiative, which aims to raise awareness and provide relief for individuals experiencing homelessness and extreme hardship through service, events, donations, and direct support. All donations received at the museum will directly impact those experiencing homelessness in Chicago. A warming item can be a coat or a blanket, but can also be toys, a new deck of cards, or an old MP3 player with charger and headphones. Last year's event saw thousands of attendees who provided more than 18,000 donated warming items to help those experiencing homelessness in Chicago. This year, the SocialWorks' team hopes to exceed those numbers in providing warmth for those who need it most. SocialWorks, founded by Grammy-award-winning musician and humanitarian Chance the Rapper, aims to empower the youth through the arts, education, and civic engagement. Since 2016, SocialWorks has created 5 initiatives that present youth the opportunity to learn and act on their passions. SocialWorks' programming focuses on education, mental health, homelessness, and performing and literary arts - directly affecting thousands of youth yearly. Through the initiatives, OpenMike, Warmest Winter, Kids of the Kingdom, The New Chance: Arts & Literature Fund, and My State of Mind, SocialWorks hopes to inspire creativity, build dreams, and advocate for youth success in all its forms. Date: Thursday, December 19, 2019 Time: 6pm - 10pm Venue: Museum of Science & Industry Address: 5700 S Lake Shore Dr, Chicago, IL 60637 Tickets: https://natm.tix4cause.com/e/3/a-night-at-the-museum Single tickets: $10 / 4-Pack: $30 Website: www.socialworkschi.org
