Opera Tunes benefit
1:00pm

A spinoff of the video bar's enduring and thrice-weekly Show Tunes events. Opera Tunes features video clips of the greatest hits from the extensive operatic canon. Also in the mix are fun pop-cultural opera references from cartoons, TV shows and movies. WARNING! Opera Tunes footage includes: GENDER-BENDING DRAG! FLASHES OF NUDITY! LOADS OF SINGING! For ages 21 and older. The donation admission of $25 includes two drink tickets. Show tickets and other prizes can be won as part of the event's silent auction. To RSVP in advance, visit operatunes.eventbrite.com. Proceeds benefit the AIDS Foundation of Chicago through its TEAM TO END AIDS (T2EA) Endurance Training Program. Opera Tunes co-hosts Kali Jankovich, Scott Morgan, Alyssa Rick and Meaghan Stainback are each endurance sport participants with T2EA in 2019. Founded in 1985 by community activists and physicians, the AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC) is a local and national leader in the fight against HIV/AIDS. AFC collaborates with community organizations to develop and improve HIV/AIDS services; fund and coordinate prevention, care and advocacy projects; and champion effective, compassionate HIV/AIDS policy. To learn more, visit t2ea.org or aidschicago.org. Sidetrack is where Chicago comes to celebrate. Since 1982, Sidetrack has grown to serve its Boystown neighborhood with a unique mix of music video programming, multiple bar spaces and world-famous Frozen Cocktails. Sidetrack is dedicated to providing entertainment and hospitality in a respectful, safe and inclusive space for the LGBTQA communities.
