A Fantastic Woman is the fictional, but relatable, story of Marina, a transgender woman struggling with the death of her boyfriend. Daniela Vega portrays the nightclub singer and waitress who must also deal with scrutinizing family that have no regard for her privacy. A Fantastic Woman won the 90th Academy Award for Best International Feature Film. Feature will run June 25th through June 27th, 2019. Tickets can be purchased at The Logan Theatre or online at www.TheLoganTheatre.com for $9. The Logan Theatre is located in the heart of the Logan Square neighborhood. Withstanding over 100 years of change, The Logan Theatre still stands for community and entertainment. Mid-run movies, independent films, and local film festivals have a home at The Logan, reflecting the diversity that makes our community and iconic Chicago destination. Project VIDA's mission is to improve quality of life and reduce health disparities in underserved communities by promoting self-empowerment and providing holistic health education and direct services. www.ProjectVida.org
