The Evanston Dance Ensemble 22nd season 7:30pm
A suite of three pieces, Moving On, which explore the theme of transition. First, choreographed by Laura Schwenk Berman, the classical ballet "Graduation Ball" is set in the 1840's. Adventures and romance ensue when cadets from a nearby military academy are invited to the senior celebration at an all-girls school. Next, "…my breath away…" choregraphed by A. Raheim White from Lucky Plush Productions is a modern dance piece that tackles loss, death and healing. Then EDE Co-Artistic Director Christina Ernst stages a highly-energized selection from EDE's "Space Odyssey," Neptune. Performances will be held Fri. Dec. 14th at 7:30 pm, then both Sat. Dec. 15th and Sun. Dec. 16th at 4:00 and 7:00 pm at Studio5 Performing Arts Center, 1934 Dempster in Evanston. Tickets range from $12-20 and are available at http://movingon.brownpapertickets.com.
