Games We Play exhibit ongoing
9:00am - 5:00pm
Expanded and moved to the Howard Brown Waiting. Continuing through October 2018 in the Library Reading Room, Games We Play highlights LGBTQ-themed board and trivia games that began being produced in the 1980s. These include C'est La Vie, a lesbian version of LIFE where the goal is to get to the Lovely Lesbian Retirement Villa, Gay Weekend, where the player goes around the board picking up tricks, Gay Monopoly where players can buy streets in various gay neighborhoods around the county and instead of buying houses or hotels, the players purchase bars and bathhouses. Trivia games include Gay Trivia, D.Y.K.E. (Do You Know Enough) and That's So Gay. The exhibit includes a brochure of trivia questions for you to take and share with others.
Exhibits in Howard Brown waiting room and Walgreens are viewable during their open hours: Mon-Thur 9 am-6 pm, Fri 9 am-5 pm, and Sat 9 am-3 pm
