The Chicago Underground Film Festival will showcase more than 100 unique visual works May 31-June 4 at the Logan Theater, 2646 N. Milwaukee Ave.
Among the LGBT movies that will part of the festival are Whatever Happened to Gelitin, The Magic Hedge and Cruising Elsewhere. "Gelitin" ( 82 minutes ) features artist/art dealer/actor Salvatore Viviano setsting out on a cinematic search for Gelitin, an Austrian performance group.
"Hedge," a nine-minute short, involves same-sex encounters within trees and shrubbery; and "Cruising" ( 13 minutes ) involves memories of a once-legendary gay beach.
Tickets are $20 for opening night, which includes admission to after-party at Elastic Arts, and are $10 per program.
