The City of Chicago Commission on Human Relations' Advisory Council on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues invites you to attend the Seventeenth Annual Hall of Fame Celebrity Auction, which benefits the 2009 Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame.
The auction will be held on Tuesday, September 22, at Sidetrack, 3349 N. Halsted Street. The registration reception, silent auction, and raffle begin at 7 p.m., and bidding starts at 8 p.m.
The registration fee of $10 includes one cocktail, hors d'oeuvres from J and L Catering, raffle tickets, an auction paddle to bid with, and a $10 credit on auction purchases.
The auctioneers for the evening are Circuit Mom, Amy Matheny of Windy City Queercast, and Molly Callinan Rock Goddess lead singer of "Catfight."
Prominent personalities from Chicago offer items and services for bidders during both live and silent auctions. Items include breakfast or lunch with Ron Huberman, CEO of Chicago Public Schools; two signed and framed color prints by famed photographer Sandro; original oil paintings by Nancy Fong, Richard Gibbons and Jorjet Harper; a dinner and theatre package for 10 at Drury Lane Theatre in Oak Brook; a fun "TV" package from ABC 7's 190 North Hostess, Janet Davies; and much, much more.
